Sparc Teams Taster Workshops
- The Sparc Teams Taster workshop at the Pierian Centre yesterday was very successful with more people turning up than we expected, and what a great group! The group was dynamic, diverse and we were blown away by the synergies between the people who showed up. Feedback was well received, and several people mentioned how good it was not only to come to the workshop, but by the connections they made with like minded people. Thanks go to the Pierian Centre team for hosting SparcTeams, and the great tea from Pukka. (We think Three mint tea rocks!)
NEXT Workshop is at The Tobacco Factory on November 9th from 12.30-3.30. Sign up for your FREE place at Sparcy@SparcTeams.com. If you can’t make it, let us know what days/times would be best for you ~ Saturday? Friday afternoon?
Setting up as a Social Enterprise - Sparc Teams met this week with Elaine at Social Enterprise Works (www.socialenterpriseworks.org) who helped us with info about setting up as a true social enterprise from the word GO. We’re now putting together our Memorandum of Articles and Objects for our next meeting and will be registered in the next few weeks. Do you have any thoughts on CIC versus Ltd Social Enterprise?
The Great Sparc Teams Space Hunt – We’re looking for the optimum co-working space to host Sparc Teams work space in the short term – while the long term goal is to have a space of our own, we’ll of course need funding to make this happen. There’s a few opportunities in the pipe line – watch this space for updates! In the meantime, let us know where you think we could provide workspace for Sparc Teams.
Sparc Teams Connections - We’ve been out and about in town this week, connecting up with the movers and shakers in the Bristol Enterprise world. Amongst others, we met with David Saunders & co. at Co-Exist (great coffee in the Canteen!), Martin Coulthard from Bristol Enterprise Network, and Paul Gregg from Bristol University. Janice gave a great talk about ending unemployment at Top Interim yesterday to over a hundred Bristol based CEOs with resounding success.
PS. Would you like to join Sparc Teams as an ambassador or support us in the diverse work we do with people out of work or in transition? Interested to find out more? Email us on Sparcy@SparcTeams.com
